To Yr 10 Geographers,

As a direct result of how amazingly you all conducted yourselves on the fieldwork trip to Leicester City Centre, you are all invited to join us on a two day Geography fieldtrip extravaganza to Malham in North Yorkshire. You will get to experience the beautiful limestone scenery and gain some valuable background to case studies as well as learning some new fieldwork techniques.

The important dates are 29th – 30th June. We require a £10  deposit by this Friday (23rd) the total cost being £60.

Places are to be allocated on a first come first served basis so make sure you get your deposits in ASAP.

 We will be staying at Malham YHA which you can find more information about here: http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/yorkshire-dales-south-pennines/hostels/malham/index.aspx please dont be put off by the idea of youth hostelling. It is brilliant fun and these places are so modern now that they are like staying at mini hotels.

First of all don’t panic. Feel free to get in touch by leaving a comment with your question and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We do try to check the page each night but we’re sure you will understand that this is not always possible. So do try to be organised and if you know there is something you don’t understand then get in touch straight away and not the night before.

I know this might be a new thing to some of you and I know that I am new to you all. However, I would like it if you could leave comments on the blog, perhaps if you have found anything particularlly useful or maybe you have found your own interesting websites or facts about a topic.

Remember that coursework is a fairly chunky part of your final mark. The more effort you put in the better your course work will be, it sounds obvious I know. Try to be organsised and stay on top of it, don’t leave it all until the last minute. Remember I am going to want your introductions typed up and given back very soon.
