Join the Eco Martyrs and become part of the solution……
I would like the Eco Martyrs to be a group of young people from school committed to taking part in practical activities that will benefit the school environment, our local area and moving out to help wherever we can. The Eco Martyrs will be a flexible group willing to meet afterschool, before school and may be even during school depending on our task, ready and willing to learn more about the environment, educate others and be willing to get involved and get our hands dirty to improve OUR environment.

hi sir this sounds like a very good idea and me and tori (she doesnt hav internet access at the mo) would be willing to help out -although we cannot draw carrots!
17 June, 2008 at 9:28 pm
What you on about……Who asked you to draw carrots? Might ask you to plant some.
Glad to have you on board, spread the word, we can cope with about 10 people

Hi sir would be happy to help when does it start
18 June, 2008 at 4:41 pm
I would like to have a few more people join us and then I would like to take you up there before the end of term so we can have a look and start planning what we would like to do with the space.
18 June, 2008 at 4:42 pm
okay u said to plan a patch of something and me + tori cant draw carrots!!! (will this be in the holidays then)
18 June, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Oh….it is all so much clearer now!!
Well it could be if you wanted it to be. It depends how enthusiastic everyone is. Having school holidays does make life a bit difficult when it comes to tending a garden however I was thinking we could try and plant vegetables that we could harvest either before or after the summer holidays.
I have 3 volunteers for Eco Martyrs so far, I need 7 more (ish) trustworthy, responsible, team players.
Any ideas? Go out and recruit people, get them involved.
How do you guys fancy running the Eco Martyrs website for me?

18 June, 2008 at 9:42 pm
We will definitely be meeting again, yes. Who’s providing the sweets?
I’m gonna keep the Eco Martyrs fairly small to start with until we can establish ourselves and work out what we want to do then think we should expand. I’ll share my dream with you guys at one of our meetings!
Now we have 4 Eco Martyrs….Excellent.
No you wont have to meet with Mr C again, not for the moment anyway.
Our plot of land is on Gorse Hill Farm so “up there” ooblonde. Yes, we will have access to the farms manure.
19 June, 2008 at 2:59 pm
there is no way that i am touching any minure, unless it involves many layers of thick and long rubber gloves!!!
Sir, i think you should provide sweets if we will have to go anywhere near minure
