And another earthquake in northern Japan

At least 6 people have been killed and 140 injured after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit a rural region of northern Japan.
That’s 4 earthquakes of magnitude 6 or above in the last 2 months. I think Mother Nature must be trying to tell us something.

Bus fare rises – surely the wrong way around?

I travelled by bus to Loughborough yesterday. It cost me a whopping £1.50. What I was very disappointed to see was that Woods coaches are raising ticket prices by 10 – 15% as a result of the increases in the price of fuel.
Fuel prices are increasing as a result of dwindling oil reserves and increased demand. [...]

Earthquake hits Patras, Greece

Another earthquake has hit. This time Greece is the victim where two people have died in the 6.1 magnitude earthquake.

Wales – the first fair trade country

Campaigners have declared Wales as the first Fair Trade country. The Welsh have been working towards the accolade since 2006. More than 1,000 volunteers have helped to persuade 58 towns, 380 schools and groups in all 22 Welsh counties to commit to learning about fair trade and use fair trade products.
